The Most Holy Blessed Sacrament was erected in an inter-province mission community at Poonthura on 10th November 2018 to participate in the exercise of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We had a meaningful celebration of the Holy Eucharist celebration. Rev. Fr. Bebinson the parish priest of Poonthura was the main celebrant. The house owner and neighbors were present for the Eucharistic celebration followed by an agape meal
We thank our Provincial Sr. Amali for the direction and guidance given to us for the erection of the blessed sacrament.

Thoothukudi Collector's Visit to Vilathikulam St.Charles School

It was a long-awaited visit of Thoothukoodi district collector's visit to our school at  Vilathikulam . For we had applied wetland converting to dry which can only be approved by the collector. It was in August 2017 we started the process. From VAO to RI to RDO and agriculture officer likewise, every Government department regarding land conversion inspected the land in this process finally the prim person THE DISTRICT COLLECTOR MR. SANDEEP NANDURI I A S inspected the land on 8th November 2018

In Vilathikulam, we the sisters of St.charles Borromeo render our services to all kind of people especially to the poor and the marginalized our area. In our campus apart from matriculation school, we have a drop out of school and child labor children school which come under direct control of the district collector. He also visited these two and was really taken up by our work for the poor.
Altogether the work of God is made to reach the people through our mission.

St. Charles College of Education, Madurai’s 10th Graduation day

St. Charles College of Education, Madurai’s  10th  Graduation day was held on Sunday, 28th October 2018. 

The Chief guest for the Convocation was Dr.S.THEENATHAYALAN, Associate Professor and Head, The Madura College and Member – Syndicate, Madurai Kamaraj University.

 Also in attendance were other dignitaries from the academic world, Press  and Principals from our Model Schools in Madurai.


The batch of 2015-17 year a total of 39 students graduated and were awardedwith degrees.The Convocation began with a majestic and grand academic procession followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu.


The PrincipalDr. Sr. Amali Anbarasi, welcomed all and in heracademic report comprised of curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities of the college. The main aspect of the report included management, faculty, structure and systems thatsupports mission to teach and train young women, Innovative School Visit, Video Conferencing session, Special School Visit,Gandhian Thought Examination, Educational Tour, Activities of various Association, Committees, Cells, National & religious festival celebrations, State Level Workshop,International Conference, Rotaract Club Installation and the MHRD Visit etc.


During the Chief Guest’s 45 minutes address he inspired the students with a fabulous speech quoting Thiruvalluvar’s Thirukural couplet “Do learn well without blemishes which is worthy of being learned, and after that stand firm by what you have learned” and summed up with Vivekananda quote “Arise! Awake! and stop not until the goal is reached.”The students and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest,


The Graduation day ended with a Vote of Thanks by the Secretary, followed by the National Anthem.
